The end Customer is a European bank, established over 70 years ago and holding a leading position in its home country.

Challenge

The Customer’s banking app for Android had an extremely low score on Google Play. Clients often pointed out severe functional glitches in the app, yet the Customer didn’t have the competencies to execute proper fixes and improve app performance.

Solution

The Customer turned to Gornium and requested a complete audit of their banking app. According to the audit results, it was decided to leave the existing UI and focus on re-working app functionality. The Customer asked for a complete revamp of the existing Android app’s code and requested adding a couple of new features, for which additional UI elements were provided by the Customer.

Once released, the revamped and modernized app gained a score of 4 on Google Play. Due to the app’s stable performance, the Customer saw a significant reduction in client support requests.
